Wildwood Celebrates Grand Opening of New Rotterdam Day Habilitation Site with Ceremonial Ribbon Cutting
On Monday, June 1, 2026, Wildwood hosted a ceremonial ribbon cutting to officially open its newest Day Habilitation facility. Located at 2696 Hamburg Street in Schenectady, the new site expands vital services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Rotterdam and the surrounding community.
The morning event featured local officials, families, individuals, community partners, and staff for a brief speaking program , ribbon cutting ceremony, and guided tours of the new facility.
Designed to support personal growth and community connection, the Rotterdam Day Hab features a:
- Large gathering space for group activities
- Modern kitchen and computer lab
- Quiet sensory room for relaxation
- Fully fenced outdoor space
This opening marks Wildwood’s fourth Day Hab site, joining existing locations in Clifton Park, Colonie, and East Greenbush.
