Sam Opalka receives 2026 Carolee Wilson Scholarship Award

In early May, Special Education Teacher, Sam Opalka was honored with the Carolee Wilson Scholarship Award.

This prestigious award honors the memory of Carolee Wilson, a beloved and innovative teacher and coordinator at Wildwood School who played a significant role in shaping Wildwood’s educational program through the 1990s. In her honor, her family has generously continued this scholarship to recognize excellence, creativity, and promise to teachers in their first year at Wildwood School.

Sam is deeply committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for her students and consistently goes above and beyond to build meaningful relationships with families, recognizing the important role that collaboration and partnership play in student success.

A highly effective, compassionate, and dedicated educator, Samantha is a valued member of the Wildwood community and truly deserving of this recognition.

Thank you, Sam, for all that you do for our students, staff, and school community. Congratulations once again on this well-deserved honor!
